Booking on our course is just a matter of completing and returning the Course Application form. However first please read more about how the programme works for you as a customer to make sure it is for you.
The course will cost £6450.00
The course fee includes:
The course starts on Monday 18th October 2021 and ends on Friday 18th February 2022. There will be a two week close-down of the course over Christmas period, commencing Friday 17th December 2021. The course will re-start on Monday 3rd January 2022.
We will provide all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) necessary for you to participate in the awards up until 18th February 2022. Other equipment necessary for you to participate in gaining the awards can be loaned for the duration of the course, such as tents, rucksacks, camping stoves, maps and compass.
We expect that you will be able to furnish your own waterproof jacket, waterproof trousers and walking boots.
If you do not currently own a mountain-bike we will be happy to provide a long-term hire mountain-bike for the duration of the course, at a special discounted rate of £300.
If you need to book accommodation to attend the course we can provide 'free' shared dormitory accommodation for the first four weeks of the course. We offer this to help get you settled however there are many local rooms and properties to be let on short term.
The course has limited places. To secure a place on the course we request a 10% deposit (£450.00) per applicant. This will secure your booking until Friday 8th October 2021, when the final payment of £6000.00 becomes due. The accounts department will allow you to subscribe to pay this total over the remaining four months of the course please see below.
We will issue you an invoice for the final sum one month in advance of the course.
An instalment plan to settle the course fees over four equal payments can be arranged through our finance department.
You will have a further 14 days to complete payment or to arrange an instalment plan with the finance department for the final £6000.00. Should you not be able to complete a suitable finance package in time your place may be offered to another interested applicant. The closing date for final course fees is Monday 11th October 2021.
If you wish cancel within the first 14 days of paying your deposit, a full refund of your deposit (see above) will be provided. After this 14-day cooling-off period we will assume that you wish to proceed and your deposit becomes non-refundable.
We will expect final full settlement of the course fees by Monday 11th October 2021. If you have not settled your account by this date we will assume that you are not able to attend and we will not be able to refund your deposit.
Should you wish to withdraw from the course after the commencement date of 18th October 2021 we will not be able to refund any part of the course fees. It is recommended that you insure yourself against any loses incurred by early departure from the course.
A copy of the Cornwall Council Complaints Procedure is available on request, but we do our best to exceed the requirements of this scheme.
