Guided NGB training and assessment modules

Do you have some spare days to fill this winter, and want to use them to good effect?
Our guided national governing body training and assessment experiences may be just the thing to get you out of the house and through those dark winter months. You can learn something new, get fit and get qualified in something special.

Guided NGB Courses

For sixteen weeks from 26th October 2020 through to March 2021 we are offering to lead you through a choice of up to up to three National Governing Body (NGB) awards in walking expedition leadership, mountain bike instructor and climbing wall instructor.

You can take your pick, as to which experience suits your needs, as each activity is being held on separate days of the week. Each one leads to an NGB assessment at the end of the course.

Are there any additional costs?

We have included all of your guiding, transport, training and assessment fees into the cost. You will need to make a personal membership and registration with the appropriate National Governing Bodies, according to the awards that you wish to undertake. We are unable to do this on your behalf.

On what days of the week would each module be held?

We need to cover a minimum number of days of guiding to prepare you for your training and assessment elements. We can be moderately flexible with the training dates that we provide, however we would like to establish a predictable routine that suits all participants as quickly as possible.

Will I have to do extra work?

Although we will cover every element of the syllabus before your assessment, it is essential that you indulge in your own personal training sessions, which may include attending some of the free weekend and evening sessions that we will be providing throughout the course. This should include additional reading and online research that will serve to re-enforce your learning.
