Explorer's Project

Bespoke cross-curricular projects, using your school grounds or other outdoor spaces. This is a cross-curricular programme that runs over 6 days using the school grounds and other outdoor spaces.

A unique experience for your class where the children lead the way to their own discovery.

For the child:

Learning through a meaningful and exciting curriculum that’s full of discovery, expeditions, empowerment, outdoor sports, team building and much more.

For the school:

6 fully planned cross curricular sessions delivered at your school by trained and experienced staff over a 6 week period; school grounds enhanced, risk assessments completed. All the work is based around 4 explorers.

Cross-curricular links:

  • History: Explorers, local investigation.
  • Geography: Map reading, understanding locality, environment.
  • Art: Accurate drawing, photography.
  • Literacy: All aspects of reading and writing.
  • Maths: Space, shape, costings and measurements.
  • PE: Archery and walking.
  • Art: Sketching, accurate drawing, photography, sculpture.

Ideas:

  • Design and Build willow structures 
  • Orienteering in local environment
  • Researching explorers (in local environment)
  • Shelter Building
  • Archery and treasure trail
  • Goal setting and exploration
  • Team Building
  • Problem Solving

Cost: £1,200 per group

Maximum group size 30 

For an additional cost we will design and build an outdoor learning legacy eg. a willow structure learning space or a school based orienteering course (approx. cost £200)
