Booking on our course is just a matter of completing and returning the Course Application form. However first please read more about how the programme works for you as a customer to make sure it is for you.
The course will cost £3500.00
The course fee includes:
The course starts on Monday 29th October 2018 and ends on Friday 1st March 2019. There will be a two week close-down of the course over Christmas period, commencing Thursday 20th December. The course will re-start on Thursday 3rd January 2019.
We will provide all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) necessary for you to participate in the awards up until 2nd March 2018. Other equipment necessary for you to participate in gaining the awards can be loaned for the duration of the course, such as tents, rucksacks, camping stoves, maps and compass.
We expect that you will be able to furnish your own waterproof jacket, waterproof trousers and walking boots.
If you do not currently own a mountain-bike we will be happy to provide a long-term hire mountain-bike for the duration of the course, at a special discounted rate of £150.
If you need to book accommodation to attend the course we can provide shared dormitory accommodation for the full sixteen weeks, at an additional cost of £1120. Please indicate on your application that accommodation is required. Payment for accommodation will need to be settled ahead of the course commencement date of 30th October 2017.
The course has limited places. To secure a place on the course we request a 10% deposit (£350) per applicant. This will secure your booking until Friday 29th September 2017, when the final payment of £3150 becomes due.
We will issue you an invoice for the final sum one month in advance of the course.
An installment plan to settle the course fees over four equal payments can be arranged through our finance department.
You will have a further 14 days to complete payment or to arrange an installment plan with the finance department for the final £3150. Should you not be able to complete a suitable finance package in time your place may be offered to another interested applicant. The closing date for final course fees is Monday 15th October 2018.
If you wish cancel within the first 14 days of paying your deposit, a full refund of your deposit (see above) will be provided. After this 14-day cooling-off period we will assume that you wish to proceed and your deposit becomes non-refundable.
We will expect final full settlement of the course fees by Monday 15th October 2018. If you have not settled your account by this date we will assume that you are not able to attend and we will not be able to refund your deposit.
Should you wish to withdraw from the course after the commencement date of 29th October 2018 we will not be able to refund any part of the course fees.
A copy of the Cornwall Council Complaints Procedure is available on request, but we do our best to exceed the requirements of this scheme.
