Equipment Required

The weather cannot necessarily be predicted so please bring suitable clothing that will keep you warm and dry in most weathers. We will be navigating onto the open moorland as part of this course and therefore you should arrive with warm layers, waterproof clothing and walking boots. We also recommend bringing a small rucksack with additional spare layers, a flask, drink and lunch.

We will provide you a map and compass for the duration of the course.

Providing that you feel fit enough to walk up to ten kilometers over the course of the day then you probably are in good enough condition to attend the course. Be aware that some of the ground will be uneven and so a pair of walking poles may be of benefit to some.
