Mountain Biking - onsite skills session

Times: 10 am - 12 noon -or- 1.30 pm - 3.30 pm

Group booking size: Maximum 5 persons

Cost: £20 per person

Dates: August 4th, 18th, 27th & September 1st

Learn the essential skills of good mountain biking. Learn to turn, balance and lift your bike over and around our skills track obstacles. Put it all together at the end with a zip around your personally designed challenge track. Join us for the morning or afternoon. 

What you need to bring

We will be cycling through semi-rough terrain and so trainers, long-trousers and a long-sleeve top are essential. Similarly, if the weather is set for rain then bring something to keep you dry. It is also recommended that you bring a drinks bottle, sun-cream and any medication that you may need whilst on activity.


Indoor climbing

Times: 10 am - 12 noon -or- 1.30 pm - 3.30 pm

Group booking size: Maximum 5 persons

Cost: £20 per person

Dates: August 4th, 18th, 27th & September 1st

Come and climb at our indoor climbing gym. It is equipped with multiple climbs to suit any ability. Join us for the morning or afternoon.

Challenge yourself to climb to the top, or just gain confidence in leaving the ground. Our instructor will encourage and advise on the best way for you to achieve your goals. 

What you need to bring

Our climbing wall is indoors and so this activity goes whatever the weather. Do bring comfortable clothing (no skirts) though as this may help your ability to climb some of our harder routes. It is also recommended that you bring a drinks bottle and any medication that you may need whilst on activity.


Archery

Times: 10 am - 12 noon -or- 1.30 pm - 3.30 pm

Group booking size: Maximum 5 persons

Cost: £20 per person

Dates: August 6th, 11th, 20th, 25th

Have some fun on our target archery range on the grounds of the Delaware Centre PL18 9EH. Join us for the morning or afternoon and test your skill against your family and friends.

What you need to bring

Archery is held outside and so requires comfortable clothing suited to the weather on the day. You should however have a long sleeve top with you to act as protection from the bow-string.  It is also recommended that you bring a drinks bottle, sun-cream, sun-hat and any medication that you may need whilst on activity.


Bushcraft (fire-lighting)

Times: 10 am - 12 noon -or- 1.30 pm - 3.30 pm

Group booking size: Maximum 5 persons

Cost: £20 per person

Dates: August 6th, 11th, 20th, 25th

Get involved in creating your own camp fire from just a few basic tools. Cook popcorn and hot chocolate on your very own camp fire.

What you need to bring

Please bring clothing suited to the weather on the day. Although every attempt to avoid fire-damaged clothing, it is highly likely that they will smell of wood-smoke at the end of the day so avoid your best clothes. No open-toe shoes or sandals please, long sleeves and long trousers are recommended. Please also come equipped with a drinks bottle, sun-cream, sun-hat and any medication that you may need whilst on activity.

Whatever the weather, whatever your navigation ability, let's go out and learn a new skill, whilst walking in some of Cornwall's most rugged landscapes. Roughtor can be adversely affected by the weather so please read our kit list below.

What you need to bring

Please bring clothing suited to the weather on the day and walking sensible walking shoes or trainers. We also recommend carrying a small rucksack with waterproofs, spare fleece top, a drinks bottle, packed lunch, sun-cream, sun-hat and any medication that you may need whilst on activity.

Venue: Meet at Calstock Quay, PL18 9QA

There's nothing like a day out on the river Tamar. Paddle your rafted canoes along the banks of this wonderful tidal river. There's plenty of history and nature in which to immerse yourself, or just sign up to some silence as you drift with the tide for a while and let this beautiful river come alive around you.

What you need to bring

Please bring clothing that keeps you warm and dry, according to the days weather. The access and egress from the river can be a little slippery and so please bring along shoes that you're able to get thorough muddy. It is also recommended that you have a few extra clothing layers in a bag in case of a need to get changed. We also recommend a packed lunch, plenty to drink, sun-cream, sun-hat and any medication that you may need whilst on activity.
