We provide a cleaning service on the day of your arrival and departure. We do ask however that you agree to keep the centre as clean and tidy as possible throughout your stay and to leave the centre in a similar condition as you found it when you arrived. If necessary a charge can be made for additional cleaning costs incurred by the Centre beyond normal expectation. For all self-catering residential visits it is recommended that a member of staff holds the Food Hygiene Certificate.
The centre is within easy access of both Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor, ideal for walks, climbing and historical remains. The picturesque Tamar Valley is nearby with the National Trust house of Cotehele and the World Heritage site of Morwellham Quay.
At the Delaware Centre, we specialise in outdoor adventurous activities and our experienced instructors have an excellent reputation for delivering safe and enjoyable activity sessions at all levels, from simple 'tasters' for beginners up to instructor training and assessments in such activities as mountain and moorland expeditions, rock climbing, white water canoeing, mountain biking, orienteering and first aid.
Groups visiting the Delaware Centre vary in size. It is normal with larger groups to sub-divide into smaller groups in order to undertake each activity. When attending an offsite activity we will transport your group to the venue using our Centre minibuses.
We now have an indoor all weather activity barn which has an extensive climbing wall, and space for indoor activities if the weather is inclement.
Visiting leaders may choose their own programme content, in consultation with the centre staff. Programme planning needs to take place one-month in advance of the proposed visit, please browse the activity descriptions below and visit the activities days page for more details to decide your programme content and liaise with centre staff:

For further information on choosing the right activity programme for your group please see our Activities days page or if you are seeking something a little different to what is on offer please contact the Centre directly on 01822 833885.
The Centre provides some essential activity-based resources for group leaders to manage with their students in the evenings. Indoor Orienteering, K-nex, Smite and an outdoor climbing/traverse wall. We also have our extensive rear field which is suitable for wide-games of all sorts. Regardless of these activities we do recommend that you plan ahead for other activities that your students can undertake throughout the evening.
